Sexuality Education in SAJS

The school uses the Growing Years package as recommended by MOE. Only teachers trained in the package are deployed to teach the lessons. Lessons are taught during curriculum hours and are delivered through a modular programme.

Daily Temperature Taking Exercise from Monday 14 May 2012

Dear Parents / Guardians

1.            This memo is to update parents on how we are managing the HFMD situation in our school. The Ministry of Education has been monitoring the HFMD situation closely in schools. We have observed a significant increase in the number of HFMD cases for over the past few weeks.

2.            Our school has reviewed the HFMD situation and will be stepping up the precautionary measures from Monday, 14 May 2012 by conducting temperature taking exercise in the mornings besides the visual checks that are already in place.

3.            Please ensure that your son brings his personal thermometer for the daily temperature taking exercise from Monday, 14 May 2012.

4.         We will continue to remain vigilant and adjust our measures accordingly. As part of school’s preparedness to deal with disease outbreaks, we will continue to keep our premises clean and to remind students to maintain high standards of personal hygiene.

5.         We seek parents' continued cooperation in monitoring the health of your children and in not sending them to school if they are unwell.

Supporting Singaporean Students

MOE has prepared a brochure on the various schemes that have been put in place to support our Singaporean students. The brochure also highlights the enhancements and new initiatives that were announced at the MOE Committee of Supply Debate 2012. SAJS Parents' Portal

Dear Parents,

Our School's Parents' Portal is now available. With this system, you can:

1. check and monitor your son's topical and class test results
2. analyse your son's results against the class and level results
3. view announcements and retrieve letters sent out by the school and Form/Subject/CCA Teachers
4. declare your son's travel plans during the school holidays
5. update your particulars and subscribe to receive automatic update of test results, announcements etc

Please note that the automatic sending of information via email is from sajs@be.com.sg.
